About Me

Spread the love

This website is dedicated to the women in my family that have taught me a love of family, tradition and cultural food. In particular my mother, Michela, who is the center of our family and an amazing mother and Nonna! Ti Voglio Bene.

Growing up as a first generation Italian-American, tradition and food were inextricably intertwined. As a child, I was exposed to strong, beautiful, dedicated women who demonstrated to me, with their love of family, how important carrying on tradition and culture is. Food is nostalgia for me and I’m sure for many others. The smells and tastes take you back to a place in time that you loved and miss. When I became a mom, I realized how important carrying on those traditions was. Over a decade ago, I decided that I needed to learn and chronicle my family recipes so that I could pass them on to my children. This page exists because of this mission and to share these traditions and the beauty of Italian food with you.

I am an avid home cook and bread baker, in particular Sourdough Bread. I started my social media journey a year and a half ago. To my surprise, I received such a positive response and have connected with people who appreciate my love of tradition and family. I want to thank all of you that have followed me on social media and have helped me realized this dream of sharing my culture and food with you.

Buon Appetito!

  • I LOVE this! I'm so happy for you. You are such an inspiration because you show how simple (or time consuming!) it can be to cook while bringing the culture, tradition and love of Naples right into people's hands. I have goals when I watch your videos. The motivation is real! Wishing you success in all your new endeavors. Thank you for this ❤️.

  • I love watching you cook it brings back all the wonderful memories of my mother and grandmother teaching me how to cook. I'm so happy I found you. Merry Christmas to you and your family

  • Your Nonna's pizza TikTok got me here! This pizza's #1 on my list to try this week. I'm not even remotely Italian, but I can identify with how cooking your grandma's recipes can be good for the soul. Thanks for sharing!

  • Your Pork Ragu recipe when printed out, omits adding the tomatoes, whereas scrolling on the website version of the recipe includes that step.

  • I so connect with you as a first generation Southern Italian. I love my family culture and want to preserve it like you ! Thank you for what you're doing. Grazie! Rita
