This is a foolproof way to make fall off the bone ribs! You don’t have to be a BBQ master to get this right or take hours out of your day to achieve tenderness. Follow this method and you will love the results!
3lbRack of pork ribs (baby back or St. Louis style)
Dry Rub
3/4cupDark brown sugar
2tbspChili powder
1tbspSalt
2tbspGarlic powder
2tspSmoked paprika
1tspCumin
1tspDry mustard
1/2tspAllspice
1/2tspCayenne pepper
Liquid for Instant Pot
1cupWater
3tbspApple cider vinegar
Instructions
Start by removing the silver skin from the back of the ribs.
Place the ribs on a baking sheet. Mix all of the dry rub ingredients in a bowl, sprinkle half the mixture on one side of the ribs and press it in with your hands. Flip the ribs and do the same thing on the other side. Cover with aluminum foil an refrigerate overnight.
Place a rack on the bottom or add a ring of crumpled up aluminum foil to the bottom of the instant pot. Add the ribs to the Instant Pot and add the liquid. Place the cover on and set it to pressure cook for 30 minutes.
Take the ribs out, discard the liquid, and baste the ribs in your favorite BBQ sauce. Place the ribs under the broiler and sear on both sides for a few mins. If you want a crust on all sides, you can cut the ribs, baste them and then broil them.
