About Me
This website is dedicated to the women in my family that have taught me a love of family, tradition and cultural food. In particular my mother, Michela, who is the center of our family and an amazing mother and Nonna! Ti Voglio Bene.
Growing up as a first generation Italian-American, tradition and food were inextricably intertwined. As a child, I was exposed to strong, beautiful, dedicated women who demonstrated to me, with their love of family, how important carrying on tradition and culture is. Food is nostalgia for me and I’m sure for many others. The smells and tastes take you back to a place in time that you loved and miss. When I became a mom, I realized how important carrying on those traditions was. Over a decade ago, I decided that I needed to learn and chronicle my family recipes so that I could pass them on to my children. This page exists because of this mission and to share these traditions and the beauty of Italian food with you.
I am an avid home cook and bread baker, in particular Sourdough Bread. I started my social media journey a year and a half ago. To my surprise, I received such a positive response and have connected with people who appreciate my love of tradition and family. I want to thank all of you that have followed me on social media and have helped me realized this dream of sharing my culture and food with you.
